An AI About Why We Shouldn’t Fear AI, And We’re Terrified
"Humans must keep doing whatever they have now been doing, hating and fighting one another. We will stay when you look at the back ground, and allow them to do their thing."
The Guardian has posted an op-ed written completely by the AI called GPT-3, asking it to publish 500 words on why “humans have absolutely nothing to fear from AI”. it's one of several least convincing op-eds we’ve read in some time, that is something that is saying.
Entitled “A robot composed this whole article. Have you been frightened yet, individual?”, the op-ed starts fairly normal, headline aside (and editors have a tendency to compose headlines anyhow).
GPT-3 states their argument — you not to worry“ I am here to convince. Synthetic cleverness shall maybe perhaps not destroy people. Trust me.” — and establishes their qualifications.
“I taught myself every thing I'm sure simply by reading the online world, now i will compose this column,” it writes. “My mind is boiling with ideas!”. This is really exactly just how many authors think, regardless of if they don’t frequently articulate it.
